From Chaos to Calm: Reflections on Building a Life and Business That Feels Organized
I recently had the amazing opportunity to share my journey on the Epic Entrepreneurs podcast, and it got me reflecting on what Green Mountain Space is really about. Being an organizer isn’t just about tidy closets or beautifully styled pantries—it’s about creating calm in people’s lives, helping them reclaim their time, and building systems that truly work.
When I started in this industry, I was not as concerned with overall aesthetics of spaces for me it was about helping people. Our clients are busy, often juggling work, family, and everything in between. They want to feel in control of their homes and their time. That’s why I’ve built a team and systems that ensure every project—big or small—feels seamless, from the first consultation to the final label on a shelf.
One of the challenges we tackle is logistics. Serving families across seven counties in Western North Carolina requires careful planning. Our warehouse, in-house inventory, and strong vendor relationships allow us to provide a luxury, concierge-level experience—even in rural areas. We rely on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training tools like Loom, and regular audits to ensure consistency. This way, my team feels confident and supported even when I’m not on site.
Our team structure is critical to delivering this level of service. Project managers, lead organizers, assistants, and our inventory manager all play essential roles in ensuring projects run smoothly. But beyond roles, our company culture sets us apart.
Our Mission is to bring P.E.A.C.E and sustainability to clients by helping maximize their vision of an orderly space with intention and efficiency through professional organizing.
Our P.E.A.C.E Team member values are People, Education, Accountability, Communication, Evolve—guide everything we do, from hiring to client care.
Without PEOPLE being top of mind and our top priority, we don’t have each other, clients, or a business. My goal in building this team was to create a community of compassionate individuals dedicated to help people who have chaotic spaces when life events or life changes happen that result in disorganization or clutter.
Our teams strives to EDUCATE ourselves on organizing strategies and client history to help them keep their space orderly and tidy.
ACCOUNTABILITY is the core foundation of our team members. How are we consistently holding ourselves accountable to our mission.
Being a hyper communicator is one of my strengths and biggest opportunity. With COMMUNICATION we grow to understand perspectives of our clients and staff. We pride ourselves on learning the full picture of a client’s situation and communicate that through our organizing systems to create easy to maintain spaces.
EVOLVE. This value is a summary that if we consistently put people first, educate ourselves to learn and understand, hold each other accountable, and communicate with one another, our team members, organizing business, clients, vendors, and community will evolve.

Reflecting on this episode, I’m reminded that organization isn’t just a service—it’s a gift of clarity and calm. It’s about helping people feel in control of their homes, their schedules, and ultimately their lives. Planning and intentionality are at the heart of our work. I start the year by brain-dumping goals, breaking them into actionable steps, and scheduling time not just for work but for family and joy. It’s a balancing act, but seeing clients breathe easier in spaces we’ve transformed makes every step worthwhile.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by your home, your schedule, or your “stuff,” I hope this episode inspires you to take the first step toward calm. Whether that’s a small reset on your own or working with a team like ours, it’s possible to reclaim your space—and your peace of mind. Thank you to Bill Gilliland and everyone at Action Coach Growth Partners in allowing us to share our passion for organizing homes and businesses, one space at a time, across Western North Carolina.
